FIP Information
The railway network in Ireland is operated by the state railway company Irish Rail (Iarnród Éireann). FIP discounts apply to all Irish Rail trains.
Interesting
The railway network in Ireland is radially oriented around Dublin, from where connections lead to many regions of the country. The frequency between larger cities is generally good. In more rural regions, frequencies are sometimes significantly lower.
Reservations are not mandatory, but are recommended due to the often high occupancy.
